The "Who's buried in Grant's Tomb?" joke stems from a 1950s game show; it was supposed to be an easy question, but the contestants thought it was a trap and got it wrong. Grant's Tomb is a mausoleum containing the bodies of Ulysses S. Grant (1822–1885), an American Civil War General and the 18th President of the United States, and his wife, Julia Dent Grant (1826–1902). The tomb complex is a United States Presidential Memorial and is now officially known as the General Grant National Memorial and is located in Riverside Park in Manhattan, New York, New York, near the intersection of Riverside Drive and 122nd Street.

In the last issue of the Cemo-gram, we studied the age old question of “Who’s buried in Grants Tomb?” As a result of the issue we actually found out where this age old question actually started. According to , as the Enquire puts it, a “reliable source”, the question began in Vaudville by none other than the Marx Brothers.
