I don't think anyone knows for sure. Some say its a place of torment and fire and brimstone, but that won't be correct because it was hell and death that were cast into the lake of fire in revelation.
Hell is also described as the grave, Jesus said God will not leave his soul to rot in shoel or hell symbolizing the grave, so you could say hell look like 7 feet under.
Lastly hell is described as a personality having authority in Revelation chapter one where Jesus introduced himself as the Alpha and Omega, and said he had the key or authority of death and of hell.
So pick the one that suits you

Certainly not pleasant!
Here is a bit of a description of hell from the Islamic viewpoint:
-the very least of punishments in hell will be a coal placed on the heel that radiats such heat that it boils the brain
-it is seven levels, of which the lowest are the roots of a tree that bears fruits that are like devils heads, and are thorned and get stuck in the throat, also the hypocrits will reside in the lowest level, as they are disliked the most
-the skin of the inhabitants will constantly be renewed as to feel the burn of the flames (as opposed to scar tissue that looses feeling)
-there will be nothing to drink but either a boiling mix of water and puss and blood or a dark, murky, intensely cold fluid
-some will have nothing to eat but piles of rotting meat
-it is said that if one drop of the muck from hell was to fall on the earth, the entire earth would be polluted

Prison of Sewer Punishment to the non believers and evil people and non Muslim.
It is full of fire that fire which is glowing from many many years and has changed its color from red to white and then black because of intence heat. There will be snakes and scorpion of Cammel size to punish the non believers. The people in Hell will drink very much hot water that when they try to drink this water in maximum thrust there lips will me melted and lower lip will reach his feet and the water then pass through his trought making intense pain and coming out from his back with blood and his melted meat.
The food will be thorns and will be forcefully given to eat.
The angels of Hell will beat the non believer for ever.
And the non Believer will live there for ever.
On the other hand Paradise is full of enjoyments given from God to his believer. Beautifull women, various fruits, beautufull houses, and what ever the wish of believer will be , it will be there even beyond our imaginations.
Now if you want to be saved from Hell then please Accept Islam, There is no force to you to do so, you can study Holy Book Quran, ask any Muslim, he will give you because every Muslim has one and every one has the Same Quran which was 14 hundred years ago present. Go through it , read it, with english Translation, And you will find the real truth. Please do it once in your life time. Find the truth it is for your own good.

It is where all who die are laid to rest. Hell is the common grave of all mankind. The Bible tells us that Jesus was in hell for three days after he was put to death but was resurrected back to heaven.(Acts 2:31,32)
Hell will soon be done away with (Rev.20:14) Once mankind is blessed with everlasting life on earth,there will be no need for graves since "death will be no more" (Rev 21:4) What a wonderful promise from God!!!!

God has given us hints (in holy books) but those are just so that human brains can infer that hell is a bad place but hell will not just be fire and scary stuff but hell will be bad based on the forms we are in ... in the next world...

Look around you!!!! where do you think we are?
Hell was an imaginary creation of men mind so they can put order of different believes of religion in old times, like Inquisition, old school popes ordered to burn people who was against Christianity and they believe that this people deserved HELL and viola they burned them.

What Hell in teh Caymen Islands, well its pretty boring just a bunch of chemically weathered Limestone/Dolomites, still though you can stick your head through the picture of the devil and have your photo taken.

For me this is hell and this is heaven, for what we have is the result of what we have done!
After we die no one knows what happens, hell and heaven are all book talks lets be realistic!!!

cmon over to my place some wknd when all the kids are home..they range in age from 3-23..9 of them..3 are teens with plenty of friends each..all are spoiled ..enjoy..im going to the bahamas
