For instance I know Jimi Hendrix dropped out. The ones you name can be in any area of expertise. The reasons I ask is to feed my own inspiration, as I am a highschool dropout who got his GED and to help more people recognise the people who were able to be successful dispite not finishing school.

Peter Jennings, newscaster/reporter. He never finished high school, though he went on to college (which also he didn't finish). He seemed to have done ok for himself.

Do you really want to include Jimmy Hentrix? Look what happened to him! Yes, Albert Einstein dropped out of school, but he later finished, and he was a genius to begin with! There are many athletes who dropped out, but what happens when they can't play sports any more.
Wikipedia has lots of people listed who were successes after dropping out (or flunking out), but unless you finish high school and then go on to college, these days you won't get very far.
My advice is to stay in school!
