Should every human being have the same standard of living? Why or why not?

I would say no. Why? if everyone had the same standard for living there would be no incentive to work, compete, achieve, or create things such as art, music. Imagine if you worked hard and another didn't and you bith got paid the same. According to Herbert Spencer and his theory of evolution all things that that were not ment to survive will die off. He thought that we should not try helping the needy it is a waste of time,that they were not ment tosurvive.

Supreme worth and dignity of every human being. Too much to contemplate equality of standard of living. We can't even get to the idea of equal funding for each child in school. I think that freedom of choice will have to win out. Some people might want to give away their riches even if they had them. You can never reach equality. Better to think about how to end poverty and hunger.

Super, thought provoking question. But, in my opinion in reality everyone cannot have the same standard of living.
If every one was well off and had every thing they needed; there would be no motivation to improve. If every one was poor and had to live without; there would be no motivation to improve, etc.

The declaration of independence says it best "life liberty and the pusuit of happiness" The pusuit of happiness is a right the attainment of it is not
