Unfortunately, so many people seemed to have no compassion or manners at all! I am proud of your husband for doing the right thing and I hope he also reported that therapist to whoever was in charge. What that therapist did was inexcusable and I am sure the medical institution would not want that person to be working there.
Just read some of the questtions/answers on this site though and you can see how unfeeling many people are. While it is prevalent in all ages, it seems more rampant in the teens and young adults. I just read and answered a question that was very odious regarding "fat" people and you would not believe some of the equally nasty responses it received like, "fat people have no reason to live".
Such a sad commentary on the human race.

I think your husband is very kind and handled this situation well. The only other thing I might have done is asked to speak to the therapists supervisor and tell him/her what was going on. I am going to school to be a massage therapist and it is VITAl that we treat everyone with respect and dignity. It should have been the therapist who pulled the gentleman aside and quietly told him of his ripped pants. That was cruel and wrong....But never fear...Karma is a *itch and she loves to get even!

It was so wrong to do that --I hated it when people stared at my dad even when he was on a walker. I usually just stared at those people and sometimes I told them what I thought of them.
I would have definitely said something. You could call the place back and tell the secretary that you want to speak to the supervisor and file a complaint. If that gets you no where--if they really do not take you seriously or give you the information you need, call the hospital or main doctor that you are associated with and call your insurance company. Let that office know tha that offended you ,,tell them in person and tell them that you hope that they are not poking fun at you when you leave the office and tell them you would like to be referred to another clinic.

The Therapist should have been reported, your husband did the right thing pulling this gentleman off to the side. I wish I was there at the time it happened. I would of told the Therapist off, then reported them to a higher posistion.( thats down right rude)

I would report him to the company. He obviously has no compassion and is in the wrong line of work. That is just rude!! If it involves patients he can be written up. On his own time he can be a jack*** all he wants. Just think is he is making fun of your husband too? I bet he would if he had the chance.

Have your husband speak to the therapist's boss or turn her in to the State Medical Board - - that is ridiculous

People seriously suck. I think manners is a thing of the past. However, gossiping about others is something that has always been part of human nature for good or for bad..usually the people who talk about others are lacking something in their lives I think.
