That depends on a few factors. Some states allow for a 3 day right to cancel on a door to door sale. This option will be marked on your sales contract. Unless the dealer solicited you at your house, this will surely be marked no. You will see ads offering a 72hr exchange policy worded many different ways but read the small print. The fine print almost always includes the following. 1.) You can exchange your vehicle for another one in stock. (No Returns only exchanges) 2.) The selling price on the vehicle you exchange for will be for the full asking price. 3.) Terms and conditions may vary. (May need more down payment, different interest rate, etc.) 4.) You may need to pay the tax, licensing, and document fees on both vehicles. 5.) Many other things in fine print.
If you already bought the vehicle and wish you hadn't or wish you bought a different car, you do not have any legal rights to return the vehicle. (Unless the dealer commited fraud in the course of conducting the sale) Your best bet is to explain the situation to the dealership in a friendly manner, and see what they can offer you as help. Good luck.
