It puts humans here about 400,000 years ago. This is way before Adam and Eve supposedly lived. It has also been proven a very reliable tool for paleontologists and archeologists.

It also puts three different species of humanoids living here at the same time. We just outlived or killed the others. Thank (enter a deity here) for our large brains.

What many people fail to realise about radiometric dating and carbon dating is that it is only good if the specimin being examined is from that era. For instance, using a shell in recent sediments will provide pants data as the shell may have came from another point in time before it was deposited (re-wroked sediments). The best thing to do is use plant debris as it is generally more unique to that point in time. Saying that for sediments that are compacted and underexposed to elements what may change its compoistion these dating methods are usually very accurate, but as always its only as good as the person using it!
I think that radiometric dating will if done on a glabal scale will de-bunk teh bible but as the same time you can not even with plain simple evidence convince people with faith otherwise. Faith is on thing, science another. I find it very disapointing when people use the science and bend it to their needs, it then becomes a joke and a mockery of the whole institution of science. The same can be said in the reverse.

Radio metric dating is not used much anywhere. C-14 on some things that are not very old (less than 50,000y). Other methods on older stuff. The most used method is the index fossil. Each layer in the strata has been assigned an index fossil. This fossil is given a place in time. That is matched with the geologic column. This method was devised over 100 years ago, long before radio metric methods were developed. Radio metric dating is used only when it agrees with the index fossil.

And I might add-it is highly debatable between scientist.

The Bible is Theology.
Radiometric and carbon-14 dating are Science.

Each of them have their own internal inconsistencies, but cannot be used to prove or disprove each other because they're in completely different spheres of thought.

Its like solving for x on an algebra problem, then using that value for x on the rest of the page. Not only will nothing make sense, you won't get any answers!

Is that including entropy or not? Using which constant are you basing the math? The speed of light which has been slowing down logarithmically? I wouldn't bet my eternal soul on radiometric dating.

So, kidneyboy, Jesus talked about Adam and Eve as real people. Was He a liar or just misinformed? He did not treat the accounts of Jonah or Noah as "stories" but actual, factual events. Do you think He was duped?

I find it funny that educated people still view the early stories in the bible as historical facts. They were stories, the lessons in them have value but I don't believe there was a Adam and Eve and a Snake they are just stories.

Actually if you trace the genetice markers in human DNA back, it goes to the same date of 400,000 years ago, also the bible gives no difinative date for the creation of man.

Stated another way: There is no objective evidence that supports any of the bible stories. Most historians consider the bible stories of mighty kings & empires as total fabrications.
