I am being bitten by some type of insect in my house (not mosquitoes/fleas) produces large (silver dollar plus size) horribly itchy bumps. Usually when there is close contact of cloth. I am getting bitten at work now too. Usually several bites near one another, with an oblong peak on the bump. welts persist for a week or so. Haven't seen the insect. I live on the border between nothern NV and CA. This happened last summer too.

you are allergic to mites. they are microscopic bugs that live on your eyelids and everywhere else too.

allergies are strange. you don't have them your whole life and then you wake up one day and you're allergic to everything. the good news is, just like they started up, they can stop in a flash. it is just a matter of time.

you need to see an allergist. say it's urgent so they take you immediately rather than make you wait days or weeks. explain your symptoms and then they will have a blood test done and do a skin test-it doesn't really hurt, don't worry about it. you will get all your answers and you will be advised which medicines to take when.

in the meantime keep a food journal. are you eating anything in common before the itchy bumps appear?

good luck

Sounds like it may be bed bugs! Bed bugs can get in your clothes also, if bed bugs are the case, they are very difficult to get rid of. Go to a doctor. Then try washing your bedding and clothing in the hottest water possible, and then if the problem persists call an exterminator. Good luck:-)

Did you ever hear of paper bugs? They are bugs that can cause a rash like hives. I had them for 8 months while working in a paper factory, it got so bad that I had to quit my job. I was always itching and stratching til I was raw. I found a better job that only has to involve children. Now I am happy. I had a bout with cancer too. No one will hire you while taking heavy doses of chemotherapy.

Love of god I quite have the same difficulty. i imagine its both mites or mattress insects. i visit't figure it out because i have not in any respect ever considered even with the undeniable fact that is doing it. To me that regulations out fleas and mattress insects. i'm about to bypass, yet when this follows me to my new position, i'd be putting all 4 legs in a cup of water, zipping a plastic conceal around the mattress and the container spring, duct taping over the zipper itself, and disinfecting the mattress body each and every time I wash the sheets.

No, it's not a bug. Try washing your sheets and other cloth items in unscented detergent, then run them back through the cycle WITH OUT ANY SOAP! You're allergic to your soap (like Tide, Gain, All, etc etc)

gotta be a crawling insect, something like red ants. ask a pharmacist he/she should know what is biting u and give u the right treatment.

btw, once u feel the bite rub it with garlic. it will burn but helps a lot in healing. another option is by applying perfume to it but garlic is much better

Sounds like it could be bed bugs. Geeze, go to a skin doc and have them look at the injury. It could even be fleas, but whatever, it sounds like it sucks! If you can't see them, they are harder to get rid of! I hope they aren't living in your clothing!

Take some Benadryl, do what curiosity said, and go to a doctor. You shouldn't be breaking out that badly, He might even know what kind of bug it is.

Call your local extension office at the university or college near you-they can probably help.

hmm... if there are two bumps right next to each other it is probably a spider. otherwise maybe you should go to the doc. =D
feel better!
