My family dislikes my ex. We were together for 2 years and split up for a month. We have decided that we love each and can't be apart. We have the best times together. My sons family (not my ex's) and my family will throw a fit when they find out. How do I break the news?

What does your son's family have to do with you getting back together with your man? Your son's dad and his family doesn't like this "new man" in your life? Tell them to grow up and move on with their lives - they have NO control over you anymore.

It's your life and they will eventually accept it (been there). It takes time but be patient. He'll have to prove himself all over again (and maybe more if they weren't fond of him to begin with). It is possible. Just be strong and if you are happy and treated well, they will eventually come around. Good luck. =)

Just be honest about it - it's your relationship and your life. Tell them you love eachother and are working things out - they need to respect your decision and your relationship.

Tell them, you both made the decision to get back together, they have to live with it, you have to live with him!
