No. It's silly. Just get a real boyfriend or girlfriend. No sense falling for someone you don't really know. It's like living in a fantasy.

Didn't you ever see that commercial where this lady has a really sexy voice, then you see her and she's like 400 lbs? Well that's what internet dating is all about - Fantasys and false advertisement.

So, not it's not a 'real' relationship if you do not know the person. That's just silly....What next online marriage? Virtual children?

What's with the 'abuse' of the term love lately? Love is the deepest, most compassionate force. You cannot LOVE someone without knowing them. In fact I bet 90% of the people you've ever claimed to have loved has been 'infatuation'. Don't cheapen the word. You will go through 100 boyfriends before you figure out what love is. Just because you like him doesn't mean you love him. Love is the most selfless emotion, it has nothing to do with you.

Here try reading this (and I'm not even Christian and I agree with this);

You can be infatuated with anyone. (Infatuation is the butterfly in the stomache feeling often deplicted in movies as love). Love takes hard work.

As for any other responses to your question; Are you asking the Children or the Adults? Everyone that responds with 'yes' has never really loved someone. (I'm especially irritated with the 'yes if you've seen a pix' response) What are we teaching our kids these days???

It depend son what you mean by "know". Don't know they exist? Don't know them on a personal level? Or perhaps someone you've never met in person, but have spoken to and/or met on-line? The latter is true for me.

More like infatuated. Not love, you are only in love with the idea of this person that you created in your head.

No.

You can be lustful towards someone, but love requires a bit more.

I don't think so. Maybe you'll be in love someday, but I don't understand the whole, "I don't even know him but I love him" thing.
