You get a little stress in your life, so you take deep breaths, meditate, etc., but stress will out. Some people develop muscular tics. What happens to you?

I'll start by sharing my own symptoms. The first is sucking all the saliva out of my mouth. I've been doing this for over a year and I can't stop permanently! It goes away for a while, then I think "wow, I'm glad I stopped doing that!" and wham, it's back. The other is that my skin gets more sensitive to clothing. If I show up to work naked, you KNOW I'm under a lot of pressure!

Some people might criticize the way I handle stress, but I think it's very healthy. Rather than playing it cool and denying that I am under stress, I yell, curse, and throw things. I don't do this around others though. The point is that I acknowledge my feelings. If times get really hard, then I find that a nice drink helps, LOL.

I guess everyone has their little coping mechanisms. When my mom was living with me a few months back I began to rip off the ends of my hair, which was really weird - I had never done this before. I guess it was a way of me dealing with the anger/stress I felt toward her, but not feeling like I could confront her so I took it out on myself.

When I am extremely stressed the tips of my fingers may turn bluish and quiver uncontrollably, sometimes I hyperventilate, or feel cold and shaky.
