There are good things people do in the name of religion and the name of God, and there are evil things done in religion and the name of God. God granted us free will and knows well what we do with it, but unfortunately some take that concept too far and do so thinking they will not get punished for it. They give more boost to their conscience and ego by claiming religion behind it. Evil exists everywhere and there's no worse test for believers than for the evil to exist within. In the end, only the good win, no matter what it seems.
