I'm moving to Georgia from California this October. I have 2 used cars.
92 honda accord -198k
92 chrysler lebarron convertible -92k
I'm considering transporting both cars, since they are paid for, but I've been told to sell 1 or both & start over in GA. I have just filed BK last September & really don't want to deal with the high interest rates of a new car nor a car payment. I thought having a backup car would be great since they both are older models, so I was trying to keep both. What would you do?

Browntown- The transporting costs are now at roughly $900.00 for each car to be transported.

that's a tough call, but i can help, check out http://www.craigslist.org/ (find your city) it's a free place to buy and sell cars. with the differance in car prices from cali to ga i bet you culd sell them both on craigs, than use it in ga to find 2 good used cars to replace ithem. you can even check cars in ga NOW on craigslist.

Since you filed for BK, you probably shouldn't take on any payments for something you don't NEED. So... why not sell both cars and buy another used one that's more reliable? You could get a newer Civic or Accord. That's what I would do. Why would you want to pay to transport a Lebarron anyways?

Brown Town, has the right idea, sell both and use that money plus what you will save on transportation and get a newer car with less miles on it. No older Chrysler products...
