I have that problem also, but I'm a guy. I've found that products containing petroleum jelly or lanolin (American Crew Grooming Cream or Pomade) work for me. They make my hair really soft. You have to be careful using PJ though, it can give you dandruff. Maybe you should try some PJ on your hair (after it has dried after washing it). It makes your hair shiny, soft, and manageable. If it works, you can go to the store and buy a styling product with PJ or something like that in it.

Pantene Pro V silk and shiny or sleek and shiny or something like that... the conditioner works wonders. Condition a lot, that's what helps me the most. (But don't over condition, it'll just look greasy.)

i have thick hair my self i got hair thiners and thined my hair out and it looks good and no more thick hair thank god ! also go to a hair place and ask for headjob its to leave u hair nice a smooth do u get head achs for it being so heavy??? mine did till i thined it good luck

I know this will sound stupid, but mayonnaise will help. And if you heat it a bit and then wrap your head, you may be surprised at how well it works.
