The bone stucture of you face creates a natural shield around you eyes. Your cheekbones, your eyebrows, that all protects the tender skin around your eyes. Your eyes are also sunken in slightly, also to protect them.

Sunglasses? I think you should follow what I knew in the 70's when I went to the beach. There was a reason those women in the south from the 1800's protected their skin.

Are you wearing glasses? If so get some contacts or don't wear sunglasses all the time.

The area around your eyes naturally protects them by keeping them in shade to a certain degree

Its to do with your melanin in your body. Melanin is a pigmentation that dis ides what colour you are going to be. Fair people have not got a lot of melanin while dark people have got a lot of Melanin. the fairer skeined you are the less you should be in the sun.
