It is a common disease where your thyroid gland located in your neck, does not produce what it is supposed to produce. Hypo always means low in medical terms. Your doctor needs to prescribe synthroid for you to take daily. And, you will have to have your blood checked a few times a year to make sure you are at the right level with your dosage.
A lot of times hypothyroidism is asymptomatic, meaning you have it but none of the symptoms. Follow your doctors advise.
Beware of some who look the term up on the internet and cut and paste long answers for you. I have seen this done repeatedly! Follow your doctor's advise and you will be fine.

I had an underactive thyroid diagnosed 11 years ago. The Thyroid gland in your neck does not produce enough of the hormone thyroxine. This is the hormone that effects your metabolism so your growth and weight may be effected. If not treated weight gain is normal, feeling tired all the time, dry hair, flakey skin on your feet, general feeling of lowness and sluggishness. In severe cases a lump is visible on your neck where your thyroid gland is swollen. The hormone thyroxine is prescribed to top up your natural bodies production. The levels are tested with blood tests. This medication will be taken daily for life (my one little tablet doesn't cause me any bother!) The benefits will be felt very quickly, you perk up and all the weight that i thought was puppy fat just fell off. I have a blood test every 12 months now to keep a check on my levels. Hope this helps

I was diagnosed as hypothyroid by my doctor about 2 1/2 years ago. No matter how we tweaked the Levothyroxin, I continued to experience bloating, painful trapped gas, post-nasal drip and congestion, which I had been experiencing all my life (I am 49 years old) and extreme fatigue which had been on-going for a few years. I didn't seem to be able to get enough sleep, couldn't make it through a day at the office and only wanted to sleep all the time. Starting the diet in early November brought about immediate positive results. ALL the above-mentioned symptoms literally disappeared!! I was so excited I would wake up early each morning, ready to meet the day. THANK YOU for all you've introduced me to, https://vids.im/low-thyroid-Treatments-igg . I thank God for your research...

It means that your thyroid is not prodcing enough of it's hormones T3 and T4, and because of this you have certain manifestations such as, tired all the time, constipation, dry brittle hair and nails, usally your dr will prescribe sinthroid which is a life long medication and the symptoms should disapear in a few weaks.

that could be a touch amazing toddler's Christmas carol yet you may not take each little thing you sing in carols as certainty or Biblical! that is widely used that Jesus grew to become into born in a competent with animals, this is the place the carol gets that image from.. that is believed that Jesus grew to become right into a content textile toddler and did no longer would desire to cry. there is yet another conventional carol that starts - "contained in the awful mid-iciness frosty wind made moan, earth grew to become into difficult as iron, water like stone." properly this is poetic license long previous mad! the climate grew to become into no longer wintry in any different case the shepherds does no longer have been out at night contained in the hills tending their sheep! because of the fact the Bible states! pupils strongly have faith that Jesus grew to become into born around September time. I even have not study the radical you quote.
