Okay I think I have this question right: Why does my cat bite me when I pat it?
Yes?
If that is the question, the answer is as follows:
1. Cats are lone animals who do not let anything else groom them.
2. The only time cats allow something else to groom them is when they are kittens (their mother) and when they are mating (their mate).
3. A cat, in the wild, will attack anything that attempts to groom it or interact in an intimate way.
4. With domestic cats we effectively keep them as kittens for the rest of their lives by constantly grooming them. They associate grooming with being submissive and most cats don't have a problem with that.
5. The problem arises in two ways:
a. The cat becomes aroused and bites because that's what its natural instinct is when mating. This can easily be changed by monitoring your cats behaviour when stroking it. If it starts 'paddling' its back feet or chewing at the air, stop stroking and you won't get bitten.
b. The second problem is when the cat is being patted/petted/groomed and is in 'kitten' mode and it suddenly realises that it is an adult and is in a very submissive position. It then reacts the way it would in the wild by lashing out at the thing that is 'threatening' it. Also very easily solved. Only pat the cat when it is relaxed and not eating, or active in any way. Watch for signs of aggression and stop as soon as there is any sign that it is no longer enjoying the interaction. It sometimes helps to stop earlier so the cat knows that it'll never get to the anger point. If you follow these steps you should be able to slowly build up the amount of time the cat will allow you to pet it for.

each puppy proprietor would desire to have a syringe for feeding a reluctant/ill cat. They value 20 cents on the drugstore (heck, I have been given one unfastened because of ability of asking) or from the vet. you quite need to get your cat in by ability of the vet in the present day to be checked, and on a similar time as there ask for a feeding syringe (there's no needle in those). Ask to be shown a thank you to feed the cat orally with it. you employ the canned A/D mixed with a sprint water, or you employ meat toddler meals, and get the completed jar down if obtainable. 3/4ths a minimum of. you employ one hand to strengthen the cat's head up and open the mouth, the different works the syringe. enable bypass of the pinnacle so the cat can swallow without choking. Repeat, 14 or 15 situations. i've got had to do this with cats with top respiration infections who stopped ingesting, and with our CRF previous cat. They tolerate it and it gets meals into them. A unexpected weight alleviation like this needs to be stopped asap. rigidity be damned, the cat needs to get in in the present day and be appeared at. She'll do nice, as quickly as you're on the some time past domicile.

I hope you me FEED it?

My cat bites me if I walk past her dish without feeding her. Maybe your cat is being playful or is biting you because it thinks that you are after it's food.

Maybe if the question was worder better, the answers could be better.

its purely out of affection - when my cat is being petted, and he's rubbing his head on my hand - he's drooling and also nips my fingers and if I'm not out of bed fast enough in the mornings to feed him, he's under the duvet biting my toes - not hard but just enough to say "hey! feed me now!"

Thanks for the laugh; maybe you should've paid attention in school. Why are you peeing on your cat? Maybe if you didn't pee on your cat, it wouldn't bite you. Just a suggestion.
