I think it is different for everyone. I am 5'4", normally 115 lbs., but am pregnant right now. Anyway, I would lose 5 lbs. in a week or two. If it is flab you are wanting to fight off, I think the only real way to get rid of that is exercise. It sounds as though you don't want to lose weight so much as you just want to be toned. Yoga is great for toning. Try videos by Rodney Yee. He whips people into shape. You will be sore afterward, but your body will find a natural balance between your weight, tone, and limberness.

The flabby part would be taken care of with weight training. If you can go to a club great, if you can't you might want to invest a couple of bucks in some free weights at any sporting goods store, sometimes even walmart has them, or some resistance tubing, this would be cheaper even still. Get a dvd online that gives instruction with weight training, better yet, since you want to lose weight, get one that has some aerobic work and weight training on it, find something you're interested in, kickboxing, tae bo, aerobics, check them out if you can, they're really fun now!Food has alot to do with it too, stay away from snacking at night, avoid these foods, or cut your intake in half: cheeses, sugary treats, soft drinks, fast food, fried foods, chips.....do eat: any fruits and veggies, and find some nice chicken dishes, not just chicken breasts, this gets boring really fast!

Yes it's true that it's harder for a smaller person to loose wieght cuz they don't sweat as much witch won't make them loose as much calories as a bigger person. Drink 4-8 Gallons of water a day and exercise and you'll loose tosse 15 lbs. by the end of the week. Just do it and I promise it'll work. I've been doing this for like to weeks and it's worked really good.

Well, 2 years ago i lost 52 pounds and yes, the less you weight, the less you burn but with the same physical activity that you started because you need more energy to move more mass so you need more energy to move 200 pound than to move 100. This is true not considering other factor such as age, physical activity etc.

yes it is true. i am also 5'7 and weigh 150lbs. The closer you get to your goal weight, the more stubborn that weight will be to come off. Yes it completely sucks! But keep at it and you'll get there!!!!! Hard work and determination are the keys! But here is a tip. If you hit a plateau.....change your workout somehow to shock your body or change your meals, mix them up a little bit...it will shock your body and bust right through!
