I mean, why is there so much polarization in this subject? While some people have human-right-oriented opinions. Others think about invading Mexico, deporting all immigrants, and who knows what else.

No. The more I found out, the MORE I became against it. However, the biggest reason is schools, and in Los Angeles, that is a really big problem.

If I had real border security and enforcement against employers I would still give legalization to screened illegals here, but that is based on the realities, and based on how well I could live with myself, and is not based on the idea that they have a 'right' to be here. However, the going forward guest worker program needs to be scrapped until the border is secure, the employer database is up and running, and there is provision for employers, not taxpayers, to provide the education and other services for their employees. No one else will benefit from a level of immigration designed to permanently depress US wages so that our labor costs will be competitive with those of China.

Disinformation may be part of the problem. It's really easy to comment on how illegal immigrants are victims when you have absolutely no experience with illegal immigrants. They aren't all here to earn an honest living. Most of the illegal I encounter (and it's a lot of them on a daily basis) are rude and refuse to learn English. My boyfriend has had tools stolen by illegal immigrant laber crews. I've been frequently catcalled by illega immigrants. It's irritating to see so many people on welfare who have never put anything into the system. It angers me to see so many illegals with so many children.

On the other hand, it's comes off as heartless to say ship them back. It isn't pleasent being poor in Mexico and there is no middle class. There is no support system and not a lot of hope for some people. And not all illegals are here to commit crimes.

That having been said, I think the issue polarizes because it's just a frustrating subject. There's no perfect solution. A lot of people have a hard time accepting that you can save the world.

In order to make your point you seem to left out the bigger reasons that people " think illegal immigrants are bad".

They break the law

They cut in Front of people tiring to immigrate legally

They steal SS# so they can work and get services without filing income taxes. Or work under the table and don't pay taxes at all.

They Have Marches to protest the people of the United States of America.

They mock our nation Anthem.

of course maybe none of these things are a problem for you.

no. its not bad press that makes us think illegal immigrants are bad for the country, its common sense. they don't pay for health care, taxes or anything else. they are not counted in a census but they take resources away from everyone. you taxes and health care go up because of them. they should be deported. they committed a crime just by being here. saying anything different is a pile of crap.

What do you have to base your claim that there's misinformation? Some of us have been here for months giving truths, stats, links, and supporting evidence against ILLEGAL immigration.

It is Misinformation that causes others to remain complacent about "cheap" vegetables and other myths.
