so you have to activate your product within 30 days so they can verify that you haven't installed it on more than one computer. i've installed ms programs on several computers and each time breezed through the verification. what's the point of the verification? to further track people that do buy their stuff?

Some MS products are sold on the street corner with the same serial code that is sold on every copy of a given product they sale like Windows XP. Just go to Hong Kong.... man it's crazy.... anyway.......

Sometimes MS catchs the number and they know to black list it.
So when you do install the illegal copy of Windows XP on your machine and try updating it with new patches in the future... MS can reject your request to download new patches.

they can check every bite in your computer:) believe me just try to download Internet explorer 7 beta and you'll see. now they doing it officially:))))))))

yeah pritty much yeah. and also record the serial numbers etc.
