someone from south america just find out that her husband is still married to other woman she is in fear of her legal status in this country she has been legal resident for the past 8 years how will this affect her legal standing in this country ...does she have to reapply and what forms must she use....how will this affect her filing tax forms etc what right does she have or not have...

Well, if he isn't legally divorced, then she isn't legally married to him nor has she ever been.
She needs to contact an immigration lawyer ASAP.

Whom married first? Her and her husband, or her husband and the other woman, since she has been a resident for 8 years, I dont think it will affect her legal status, she should contact immigration though, to let them know that she is not trying to decieve the government.

she needs to be sent back to where ever she came from. she worries about her immigration status instead she should be worry about losing her husband of 8 years. if you are married to a US. citizen then you will become a citizen after five years. so I am wondering why she is still a permanent resident not a citizen.!!!!

There is something you can do to 'adjust status' in case of divorce, so there should be something you, as the injured party, can do here. You would need to check the immigration service web page, though.
