Evolution is only a theory. If it is being taught as "fact" then they are doing you a disservice.

I disagree. Charles Darwin's theory of evolution is perhaps the greatest theory ever thought of. It presents the idea that homoerectus beings(humans) were once primates and this theory has been followed and supported by much evidence for years. There are no other plausible theories out there. The only other theory believed is creationism, which Catholics believe is when the world was created in 7 days and God created man. This has not been proven.

So overall, they are to immature to handle this theory that only truly mature and intelligent people can understand.

Teachers are not doing a disfavor to teach this. It is the only educated theory in our world. Also, to teach creationism in state funded public schools goes against the constitution, seeing that it goes against the basis that there shall be no breach of church and state.

Far be it from anyone to judge if any kind of teaching is stupid or not. Every teacher believes his/her subject is the most important. Each serious learner should listen and then sift through the knowledge gained to find what he/she wants to believe in. Re: evolution - there are thousand of theories either for or against the common beliefs of evolution - each contradicting the other. Suffice it to say that Darwinist evolution might be a bit far fetched, yet just look at the photographs of your own grandparents and compare them to those of yourself - you'll find a definite evolutionary change as the oxygen in our atmosphere is slowly depleted, we eat more processed food and live faster more stressful lives - modern man is shorter, more slenderly built and less robust, yet less susceptible to ailments ie. flu, etc. as he has learned to adapt (or have evolved).
To believers in Darwinism: which amoeba had decided supposedly millions of years ago to evolve into becoming a snake with a red tongue, and his brother amoeba to become a snake with a blue tongue, and their sister amoeba to become one with a red and blue tongue, whilst daddy amoeba decided to become a boa constrictor with a black tongue and mom amoeba to become a rattlesnake with venom and a brown tongue? - Do you get my drift when I say: "Might be somewhat far-fetched"?

No they are not. They are teaching the best scientific theory to date. Unlike religious zealots, scientists always put there ideas to the test and are open to new ideas that can be proven or disproven. With religion, there is no room for compromise. Dogma hinders science.
