Best bet is a custom box. With a subwoofer that large and that powerfull, the simple 3/4 inch MDF box is likely not going to hold up. May need to actually upgrade to one made of 1" or even 1 1/4" MDF. As for the specifications for the subwoofer, there are 2 places you can get this (and from experience, the subwoofer wants a sealed enclosure - smaller and allows the sub to handle more power)......

1) Check the manuals that came with the subwoofer - these will have the recommended box types and sizes

2) http://www.eclipse-web.com This is the home page for Eclipse and has information online regarding all of their current products.

Call Eclipse and get the specs on your sub. Then find an enclosure that matches those specs. I would stick with the sealed... just make sure that it is sealed tight!!! Minimum thickness of the MDF should be 3/4".... no less. If you're gonna try and add mid-bass then go with a good 8 or 10" sub. Don't forget your crossovers and EQ's..... have fun wiring!

What you should do is build the box you want in your car then buy a speaker that would fit it good , you are doing it the hard way by building the box around speaker . if you are wanting to get small subs for mids you definately won't find a box pre made for that , you should go to your speaker shop and get them to build you a box for 1 15 and 2 8's , that would sound pretty sweet and look bad *** in your trunk . you can always try ebay just for a box for your 15 , sometimes you will get lucky

The manufacturer will detail the volume reqs. As far as a box...Q-Logic makes excellent boxes that are guaranteed as well. Get sealed unless you want it to sound like a loud boomy mess (which is okay for bass offs).
