Definitely, stop drinking soda eat less sugar and regular excercise if you want to lose weight. I don't think pills are healthy since they are not natural to our body. Sugars, especially the High fructose corn syrup in sodas are just empty calories and doesn't play any role in nutrition.

With Hoodia I lost 4lbs the first week! After a month, I'm down 13Lbs!
Personally I think 100% Hoodia in tablets is best!
Check with your doctor before starting any weight loss program.
The problem w/Hoodia is 90%+ are scams. The real Hoodia is expensive and only the one imported from S.Africa has been show to work.
Many people go for the low cost scam Hoodia and have no results!
**** VERY IMPORTANT NOT TO GET RIPPED OFF ---
#1. Be sure you are buying pure Hoodia...look for the import certificate on the website. No matter the price, if they do not display this, you really do NOT know what you are getting!
#2. Be sure it is 100% Hoodia & not mixed w/other herbs, etc.!!
#3. Keep in mind it stops your hunger pangs…you MUST remember to break your habit to always eat at certain times.
#4. Drink a full 8oz. glass of water with it!
You can read a good article about how it works at:

It sounds like you are not eating enough. You may laugh but it's completely true. I went on a diet once (don't believe in them anymore and am happy and healthier than I've ever been) and I couldn't believe the amount I had to eat! Was all healthy food but plenty of it and I lost 3 stone. If you are starving your body any calories you are taking in will store immediately as fat. I'd say you need to be intaking at least 1,200 calories but it depends on your weight, frame etc. Do you really need to lose weight? See your doctor for advice. Eating only two bowls of special k a day and salad and yogurt in the evening is not going to benefit you in the longrun. Apart from the fact it's not enough food you need some protein in there. The lack of vitamins will also have an effect on your skin, nails, bones, etc etc. As I said seek professional advice. Good luck!

You can drink diet soda, it's fat free...but the caffeinne(sp) clogs up your liver! If you stop drinking caffeinne(sp) and alcohol for two weeks, then your liver will start to act as a filter...and yes you will start to lose weight.
You can have Splenda instead of sugar!
All you need to do really is watch your portion sizes, and your sugar intake...and exercise of course!
I don't like diet pills!

Forget the pills.
Drink water (zero calories) and cut back on foods that have excessive sugars, as those are simply empty calories. Try exercising a little bit too and this WILL work. Keep doing it, you won't see any results right away, but over time you will.

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!
Get started today!
