I think I would like to, but would there be consequences?

Why? Hecate is the handmaiden of Persephone, the midwife of rebirth! She leads the Queen to the Underworld and back again to the Overworld when the time is right. She is the torch in the darkness and the guardian of the ways. Never travel on the astral plane without Her! (Or a similar archetype from your own belief system.) Snows the paths and you don't.

As with any deity, be respectful and leave tasty offerings. Hecate is really very sweet, though she puts on an unattractive appearance on occasion. She is a maiden of many faces.

Oh, and don't try bossing Her around. That's not what you do with Gods. K?

I summon Tecate fairly often myself.

The only consequence you have to worry about is the Three-Fold rule, and you only have to worry about that if you plan on using her (or any other Goddesses or Gods) to manipulate somebody else.

It depends on what you want her for. Are you asking her for spell/ritual help? Do you have a specific goal in mind?

I guess it depends on why you are summoning her.
