Canon Powershot A300, wont connect to my computer, plugged in, turned on, computer wont read it, HELP!!?

I'v tried everything it told me to do!!! I know stuff about computers and stuff...but this time its reeeeeealy pissing [[pardon french]] me OFF!!

well i would advise checking the manual, and if all else fails i woudl contact canon since im sure they will be more than happy to help u.
also it could be a problem on the pc itself a fault with the usb connection.
