As long as you have kept them refridgerated, eggs will be fine for a week after that sell by date. That date is set that way, because they expect you to use the eggs in an expected period of time.

Depending on the temperature you have your refrigerator set on, you have up to a week past the sell by date on most food items. But you always want to check the look, texture, and smell of an item before you dive in. If you're not sure about your eggs, just crack each one into a bowl individually. Once you know it's okay, pour it into the bowl you're mixing in, and move on to the next one. That way you don't accidentally put a bad egg in your other ingredients.

Eggs are so cheap and the most common source of food poisoning. Why take the chance? If you just have to be a risk taker if the egg will float on the surface of water it is definitely spoiled. There's a top secret tip and now it is public knowledge shhhh!

They're fine. I've eaten month old eggs and lived to tell the tale.
Mail me the brownies when you're done.

sell by date is before use by date so don't worry ,if you are ever unsure break the eggs onto a plate one at a time then add them to your recipe you will smell if they are bad

You can usually get away with it.... my Dad owns a grocery store, so I'm always having to use up stuff like that, just remember to cook 'em thoroughly.

If in doubt, give this a whirl:

Yes, besides you would know if they are bad when you break them. The smell alone would raise all the red flags.
