I don't know and i don't think anyone living knows for sure. What i do know is that, we will know when the end is approaching just like Jesus said, he said when we see fruits on a tree, then we know summer approaches, so will the end be too. All the wars and all the deception being spread around are things Jesus pointed out will be happening when the end comes.

in fact there is one interesting thing concerning the end of the world. Mayan calender is one of the most appropriate in whole universe, while it was created a long long time ago. it is absolutely describing astronomy, and there are no mistakes. but the thing is that the last day described in this calender is the year 2013 or 2018. So this year will either be the end of the world or the beginning of golden age. Paying attention to fact that the end of the world had been predicted to happen in year 2000, 1990, 1900 etc. the predictions do not come true. By all means you can be sure that our generation will not meet the end of the world!

the year 2060? why?

Christ died at the age of 33 in the year 33 AD, the bible states that the world will begin to end 2000 years after the death of the christ child and that it will take 27 years for the end of the earth to be complete. We will never know the month but, we can figure out the year.

33 AD + 2000 Years +27 Years = 2060, end of the world

OK, let's put this in scientific terms instead of Christian stuff (sorry, believers).
The sun has been at this size for about 4.6 billion years, around the same time as the creation of Earth. In about seven billion years, the sun will die, possibly bloating up to a red giant and swallowing the first two or three planets. Then, it will continue like this for a while, converting helium to heavier and heavier elements, until it becomes a white dwarf. By the time the sun is a red giant, we will all die (too hot) or get swallowed up.

The Bible which is God's word says that at the end of the Great Tribulation, Jesus will come again and rule for a thousand years. At the end of the thousand years, there will be a war started, but immediately put down by Jesus. Then those who love Him will be with Him and there will be a new heaven and a new earth.

Not today. After Noah and the animals survived the huge flood in an ark, God promised to never do it again. But, he did say the next time he would do something like that to the world, he would use fire instead. That is when the sun dies out and explodes. All planets (until Jupiter) would be destroyed. Thats what my mother told me. I know for a fact that someday, that sun will die out because its a star. When it "burns out", it will explode, destroying earth. This wont happen until...far later. My teacher said it would be in our childrens, childrens, childrens, childrens, childrens...time. ?

According to the Mayan calendar and what the people who used a computer to interpret the bible using matrices (as the bible said a man-made animal would be able to do so) have calculated it to be in the year 2012.
