I like Thomas because you have so many nicknames like Tom, Tom-Tom, Tommy, Toms and more it's just fun. and kids love because of 'Thomas the train'

for example.. Peter Thomas
There is a cosmetic brand named Peter Thomas Roth.
But if you have to choose one, I would say Peter.
The name Thomas, Tom seems a bit old and 70'sish
it also sounds weird.. i never really liked that name because it reminds me of drums.
Peter seems more friendly and you can put various kinds of nicknames to it other than just one . ie Pete, Petey, Petey baby
