The best and easiest diet I found that really works and you can the foods you always normally eat. All you have to do is just eat at least half of what ever it is that you normally eat. The best way I found was by using a little saucer plate instead of a regular sized plate. Also make sure that eat the normal 3meals a day, drink plenty of water and if you can make that all you do drink, and don't eat right before going to sleep. If your willing try to walk or get a treadmill, a treadmill makes it easier and not so boring and inconvenient, you can watch TV or whatever to pass the time and not think about what your actually doing.

There is a heart patient diet that is very safe to do.. it is three days on two days off. It is very very strict and you have to follow it exactly to the "T" with no snacking but you can lose 10 pounds a week on it. I have done it and it works.
First Day
Breakfast:
Black Coffee or Tea,
1/2 grapefruit
1 slice-toast
2 tablespoons of peanut butter
Lunch:
1/2 cup of tuna
1 slice-toast
Dinner:
2 slices of any meat (about 3 0z.)
1 cup- string beans
1 cup- beets
1 small apple
1 cup- vanilla ice cream

Second Day
Breakfast:
1 egg
1/2 banana
1 slice-toast
Black Coffee
Lunch:
1 cup cottage cheese
5 saltine crackers
Dinner:
2 hot dogs
2 cups-broccoli
1/2 cup-carrots
1/2 banana
1/2 cup-vanilla ice cream

Third Day
Breakfast:
3 saltine crackers
1 slice-cheddar cheese
1 small apple
Black Coffee or Tea
Lunch:
1 hard-boiled egg
1 slice-toast
Dinner:
1 cup-tuna
1 cup-beets
1 cup-cauliflower
1/2 cantaloupe
1/2 cup-vanilla ice cream
The diet works on a chemical breakdown and is proven. Do not vary or substitute any of the above foods. Salt and pepper may be used, but no other seasonings. It is suggested to drink from 6-8 glasses of water per day to flush out your system. Where no quantity is given, there are no restrictions, other than common sense. This diet is to be used for 3 days at a time. In three days you will lose 10 pounds. After 3 days of dieting, you eat normal food, but do not over do it. After 4 days of normal eating, start back on the diet. You can lose up to 40 pounds in a month if you stick to the diet.

If you want to lose weight fast for a certain event. Try the South beach diet. I lost 5 lbs the first week I went on it. It's really easy also.
The only problem with fad diet's is that you lose the wrong kind of weight and end up yo-yo dieting. If you eat right and work out the healthy way you should lose about a pound a week. And that way you know you aren't losing muscle or water weight... you are losing fat!

Cut out pasta completely and bread type foods like pizza need to be cut back. Go jogging and do pushups and situps. If you build a little bit of muscle or tone what you have then that extra muscle will born more calories all day long. Even while not exercising. Drink plenty of water so that your body can rid itself of what you are trying to lose. Work hard and you can do it. You might not lose the 9 Lbs. by that time but your success will be completely determined by how hard you work your body and what kinds of foods you eat.

Eat several (4-6) small meals a day...your body will burn calories faster and build your metabolism in a short period of time.
(eat about every 2 hours)
The first 8-10 pounds you shed is water.
Meal suggestions:
1st: piece of fruit
2nd: string cheese, summer sausage, cottage cheese/yogurt
3rd: bowl of cereal
4th: soup/sandwich
5th: a good dinner-meat, potatoes/pasta/rice, veggie...your body needs carbs, protein and vitamins to stay healthy
6th: salad/raw veggies
Drink plenty of water
Drink milk or juice/water with every meal (no soda pop)
Stay away from munchies, fried & fatty foods.
Do simple exercise like walking/hiking...swimming and biking are low impact, playing baseball, basketball, volleyball will tone your body and you'll have fun doing it.

Burn 3500 calories more than you consume to lose 1 pound of fat. Adding certain foods to what you normally eat, at a strategic time. can do this. Below site has info on this and other things you can do to lose bodyfat, retained water and even between 5 to 20 pounds of waste which adds inches to your waist.

Try the South Beach Diet. It's healthier than Atkins because it focuses on lean meats instead of high fat foods. The first few days are tough, but once you get past them it gets a lot better. I've lost almost 30 lbs since January 3rd.

Drink lots and lots of water! I'm not talking like 8 glasses I'm talking about 4-8 GALLONS a DAY! It sounds like alot but I do it every day and it's been working really well! After you drink all the water you'll wiegh alot of you go ont he scale but it's all water-wieght and then you'll loose all of it and more within 1-2 days! that's it! you've got nothing to loose but extra fat and wieght!

Don't eat sugar n fast food, eat vegetable as much as u can, don't drink coke or beer, n walk fast for 1/2 an hour daily.
also u should not have the dinner and go to sleep directly

Drink lots of water--thats very important. Also, make sure you eat breakfast every day--this will speed up your metabolic rate and burn more calories during the day. A lot of people skip the first meal--they end up gaining. Good luck!
