I think its awesome when a girl comes up with fun ideas for a date. Then you know that she has some interest and that she can think for herself. More girls should ask. If they really mean it when they say they want to be equals, they should have no problem taking on the responsibility of asking for dates and coming up with something to do.

Believe it or don't, most guys (even some of the really traditional ones) are surprised in a positive way when a girl comes up to them and asks THEM out on a fun date first. Guys feel good when they ask girls out on dates but, truthfully, it takes a lot of courage to do so. Thus, it's sometimes a good idea to take the heat off a guy you really like and ask him out. He'll appreciate it.

That's a great idea! I'd love to go out with a fun girl who comes up with date ideas on her own. Only stupid sexist macho guys would be offended. He's gonna expect you to be barefoot and preg stay-at-home-mom if it scares him off.

Its okay for a girl to come up with ideas as long as she knows that her man can pay for it and he's okay with the place she picks.Sometimes its nice for her to surprise him
