Birds tend to do that when they're sad :( some of mine did it before they died! like one or 2 others in the cage would die, then he'd sit in the corner at the bottom of the cage and sort of sulk. Then he'd die :( It actually happened more than once. Hope it's not the case with urs!

1. Check for drafts around the birds cage, and consider moving the cage.

2. You may also consider covering the birds cage at night, leaving the front open.

3. Caged Birds lose their natural environment and there are several ways to re-create what they lose.

There are several books and web sites on Birds that can help you further understand your birds needs.

She's both too chilly or too warm. They fan at the same time as warm and sing his own praises if chilly or slumbering. If she's on the bottom of her cage examine her perches to make certain they don't look to be splintered. She ought to have harm a toe or her foot and doesn't want to sit down down on a perch. If she is ingesting her personal droppings, she ought to have a nutritional deficiency. (now and again that is why they are on the bottom of the cage). immediately it truly is likely evening were you're. Loud noises or a shiny gentle should be scary your chook.

You should see a vet, it's not normal for birds to sleep on the floor of the cage. I'm sure he is mourning the deaths, but it's not healthy for him to be standing in or near his own poop.

call an avian vet (certified one, not a normal cat/dog vet) and ask them. he might be sick.

do not get another one to "cheer him up" unless you are willing to care for both in case they do not like each other.
