I had no religious upbringing at all. Years and years of just living like a moral person - for no other reason than that I knew it was right. toward the end of high school, I started researching different religions and attending services. None ever fit.
When I turned 24, i was introduced to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and I knew in my heart that it was the truth I had been seeking. I was Baptised in March of 2002, I was married in the Nauvoo Temple to my amazing wife in 2004.

I was an atheist until I was 38. It was then that I became a Christian after I had searched the world over for the answer and found all other sources (including science & math) lacking. I not only required proof but tired of all the lies I was fed and the contrdictions so inherent to science. I found physical, scientific, positive, visual, experiential and spiritual proof that God is the ONLY real answer and that real research (looking for evidence in and of itself instead of trying tp prove my own theories) reveals itself. In fact I now see that it took far more faith to not believe than it does to believe. And that God has never lied to me. That is something I can say about very few human beings, especially those who twist scientific "evidence" to support their causes instead of accepting what they repeatedly find as truth..

Thanx for answering my question question two days ago. I was raised up a christian but when I reached my teenage years I decided to wander off to "explore" life on my own. Bad Idea! Now I know that no matter what you do, you need God in your life. I personally don't see christianity as a religion. I see it as a feeling... a feeling of love and freedom from everything that makes you a slave whether it be pain, bad experiences or memories, anything that causes harm. I refuse to believe or think that God is just a part of mythology. I can feel it in my heart. Can you feel Him in yours?

Mine wasn't completely non-religious, my grandmother took me to her Methodist church but didn't speak about God outside of church. My dad, who raised me, doesn't really believe in Christianity and hasn't since before I was born. He believes in evolution and believes when you die you're done. I was taken to church but prayer wasn't in my home and there was no talk of God. My mom sent me to cathecism because she was Catholic but she had no clue either. I have read the Bible on my own since I was 10, repeated the sinner's prayer by 12, confessed at the altar at 16, and baptized at 18. I also married a preacher's son. Life experience is my proof.

What god are you referring to? There are millions. Or do you mean GOD? There's only One. The answer is, of course! Millions of people are believers that have never had any
association with God, a church or believers. Remember, God loves us all and patiently waits for us ALL to love Him and to seek Him and to believe in Him. " Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Matthew:7:7-8 So if you wish to find God, this is how you start. Next, find a good BIBLE teaching church in your area and start asking questions. (Go to Crosswalk.com, Turning Point.org, or BBN.org)
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should NOT PERISH but have everlasting life." John 3:16

When I first saw the question, I had to laugh. As worded, it gives the impression that God was raised in a non-religious household!

Yes indeed-- there seems to be a GRAT VOID in many peoples lives that can only be filled by THE GOD. Sadly many listen to feriends instead of study and end up in a CULT like JW, Mormanism, or RomanC.

I do. I was raised a godless, hedonistic heathen. And I loved it. I certainly didn't want to change, because it was so much fun and I saw no benefit to change.
But then God called me. HE changed me. I only told him that I was willing.
