Sounds like your flasher unit has gone bad.
Also check the fuse panel under the steering column.

Replacement flasher is less than 3 bucks at any auto parts store.

you shud check your fuse if you have a test lite check your fuse with that sometime the fuse might not look broken sometimes they have a very thin brake in the fuse. then you want to check it for a bad earth on your switches and in youre light cluster check them with a test light to. there also could be a brake in the wire it self. or some times its easier to take it to a garage.

I agree check the turn signal switch for going out, as well as the wiring behind the connector for pulling out of it's sockets

Better get it the local ford Fix or repair daily shop . This is a mess and it will be another big bill unless you can do the work youself. This age they start with the problems

I have a 1995 and that happened. It turned out that it was the fuses.

quite often the turn signal switch goes out on them trucks check it out
