Here's how it was explained to me once: You start with a cow. You cut off the best chunks and get steak. What's left over is ground up for hamburger. All the leftover parts you can't bare to look at are smushed together for hotdogs. You sweep the floor for potted meat.

They pretty much contain the same ingredients. I prefer all beef hot dogs. Read the labels to make sure what you are getting. Some contain chicken and/or turkey or other "fillers".

no, there are a variety of hot dogs. the most common contain turkey and beef. there are all beef. just read the lables.
