I think that I may be pregnant...?

The thing that is freaking me out isn't am I or am I not.. it is if I am it is my ex boyfriends who my whole family hates... I am just worried that they will treat my child different because of who the father is. I think that is why I am taking my time finding out for sure.. If I am pregnant should I lie to them & tell them I don't know who the father is & look like a $lut or should I tell them the truth & deal with the constant comments & rude remarks for the rest of my life & my childs? What would you do?

I appreciate all the responses but I am old enough & financially secure enough to have a child I WANT THIS BABY.... I was just curious as to what everyone thought of a family who can't forget the past...

Well you need to find out if you are pregnant because you need to start taking the vitamins for the baby. So right now all you are doing is depriving the baby of the nutrients it needs right now.
As far as lying to your family, they might hate the father, but they aren't going to hate the child so just tell them who the father is. They know you guys were dating so it was always a possibility that you could have his child. Plus, when he starts to come around and care for the child, they are going to figure it out anyways.
So tell them the truth. Plus, it's your life and your childs life, not theirs and they will just have to get used to it and if they don't like it, they can just mind their own business.

The sad fact of the matter is that you were:
1. having sex out of wedlock, and;
2. having unprotected sex.

Now, IF you are pregnant, you should go see a doctor as soon as possible and learn of your options.
Do you abort, adopt or keep the child.
If you choose either to adopt or keep, your FIRST priority is to make sure you eat healthy (no smoking or drinking alcohol, soft drinks, junk food, etc...).

Next, you should NEVER lie to anyone.
If you thought you were old enough to have sex, then you are old enough to take responsibility for your actions...and own up to it.
Deal with it, if you are pregnant.
Its part of growing up.

As for what other people say, to hell with them.
They are not walking in your shoes.
Its your life...and if you have a baby on the way, your WHOLE focus should be on baby, first and foremost.

Finally - if you are pregnant and the ex-boy was your last sexual act, then you have an obligation to talk to him and tell him what you plan to do.
He's the sperm-donor and is 50% to blame for your condition.
He should have some say as to what happens to baby...and he might even have legal rights and obligations as well.

Now - I hope that you are NOT pregnant.
It sounds as if you are not mature enough to be a mommy.
And if you are lucky enough not to be preggo, then for God's sake, please use birth control next time.

I dont know your family but I know if it were mine, I would get the rude remarks for the first coupld of months but they would die down. My family can't stand my husband, we have a 4 year old and one on the way and they dont treat my son any different, matter of fact they love him to peices. Once your family sees that beautiful baby they wont be mad anymore. After all it is still a part of you, and they love you. Dont worry, just tell them the truth.

Take a test and go from there! Don't worry about how they'll treat the baby...If they love you then everything will be just fine!

If you are pregnant then you must tell them! They're going to be up set with you but, that will pass in time. Don't be afraid to tell them...just get them together where's it's nice and quiet and tell them, I made a mistake and I really need your help and support!

Take a preganany test, if you are then you should tell them you should never lie to them cause in the end you'll regret it sit down and talk to them and tell them how your feel and how much of them supporting you means to you. if they dont have the sense to respect that then at least you told them the truth without hiding it from them, regardless of who the father is and how much they hate him they still need to know how you feel and if they really care about you they would support whatever decision you make for you and your child.

find out for sure if your pregnant or not. and if you are, and your family can't accept that the child is your ex boyfriends then tell them to get over it because it's still your child and they should treat it as it was some other guy's baby.

well not only should you take a pregnancy test, if your family really loves you they wont care who the babies father is, they will accept the little bundle of joy for who ever he or she is. dont be scared tell your family whats up and if they have anything to say about it, just be all like it was my choice and my life so keep your ignorant comments to your self.

If you are and you don't wanna tell them who the father is don't let them think what they want you know what's up. your family should love your baby anyway. and don't let anyone make rude commets it's your job to stick up for your baby &you. don't let your family talk bad about the babys dad in front of the baby because the baby will grow to hate the dad. because you never know he may want to be there?
