Every 7 years (or 11 depending on the bankruptcy you filed).

You have to wait 7 years from the time that you filed., but if you filed chapter 7 you can still file chapter 13 (reorganiztion) if you need help before seven years.

I think it used to be 7 years and then when the bankruptcy laws changed in October....it became every ten years.

Be careful. With the new law that went into effect last fall, you will probably have to repay most or all of your debts. All that declaring bankruptcy will do is give you a manageable payment schedule.
