I think that its a matter of comfort and how interested you are in the person. I have no set rules against that or for that, its a matter of comfort.

I don't know about everyone else, but kissing to me is a very intimate act. Today, casual sex is so common that intimacy is dead. But sharing a long, passionate kiss with someone is a sign that you really care for him/her. Also, kissing is kinda the only way to really "give" yourself to a person with no barriers like condoms.Also kissing means your sharing fluids and that's not something people just wanna do in 2006.

If I feel a special connection with the guy on the first date then I usually go for the kiss ... maybe more ! hahaha j/k ....
I don't think there's a right way or a wrong way - just depends on the person !

These days you never know where the other person has been. Usually after a date or two, you get a better idea of what they're like.
In other words, if I'm going out with this chick and I think she's a whore, I might not want to do anything with her.

Hmm, that is a new one by me. All of my friends and I end our dates with either a kiss on the cheek and a hug or if it was a good date and we clicked then it will end with a kiss on the lips.

Personal preference. I find kissing to be very intimate and sexy. So I'm not going to kiss someone until I know that there is an interest. Then, when I do finally kiss him it's great stuff :-)

Most folks don't kiss on the first date because..... They don't think they know the person too well. And they don't feel that kissing them would be right......

Either because the date didn't go very well, or they thought the date went so well they don't want the other person to think they are moving to fast.
