I moved down to Sydney, Australia for a year to attend University. It was the best experience of my life. You'll have so much fun while you're there. The people there were super friendly. Try to get out and make a lot of friends while you're there, it will make your time a lot more enjoyable.

Try to do as much traveling as possible while you're there (Try and get to Cairns and Fraser Island)

I have never actually been an exchange student, but I have hosted exchange students in my home. When my son joined the military, I converted his room to a guest room. We hosted women from Peru, Brazil, Belize, and Yucatan over a period of time. I don't speak any other languages, but they were fluent in English.

I really enjoyed the experience, and so did they. I received cards and letters from them for many years afterwards.

I was surprised to find out that the word "exchange" doesn't mean for every one we get, we exchange one. It should be called a "guest student" program.

If you are worried about it, you can talk to your advisor and get letters from others who have been there, done that.

I´ve been to germany for three months and next year i will go to england to study for six months, and i think you should definetely go, its one of the best experience you can get in your life, to get in contact with new cultures, to learn new habits its really unique. The first three months are the hardest its the time that you´re adpating yourself to that new culture, and sometimes its frustated and you feel lonely and homesick but then gets easier and easir and you starts to enjoy it.

I've studied abroad and all I can say: was one of the best times of my life!! Go ahead, have fun and don't forget to leave some extra space in your suitcase to bring back goodies. Enjoy!

I wouldn't recommend doing it. I don't see why anyone would want to. I am a bit reluctant to go live in a foreign country for a while. I am happy where I am.
