So for quality at a reasonable price, it looks like Black & Decker and Cuisinart are good brands. Also, consider the size of the waffles, how long it takes to heat up, is it easy to clean, do you want to be able to take the plates out and switch them (I I have a waffle iron that doubles as a sandwich maker, it has the normal plates with the squares, and flat plates for sandwich heating.) how big is it, will you have a good place to store it?...
