I'd take the flexible schedule as long as it paid more, think about how stressful it is to sit behind a desk when you know your family or friends are getting together, etc.

that is exactly the boat I am in and it helps to not let yourself get overwhelmed. when i start getting really stressed at work i just take a minute stop and realizes that everything is going to be fine and that i have plenty of time to get everything accomplished. the time off is definitely worth it. think about it like this. most every job comes with its certain stresses. i don't know that there is any job that comes with 0 stress. just remember that you are dealing with your fair share but you get more down time to forget about it then everyone else.

You should have a job that you enjoy. If you wake up every morning not looking forward to work than that is not the right job for you.

I DO A JOB THAT REQUIRES IM GONE FOR 4 DAYS AT A TIME AND THEN IM OFF FOR 6 DAYS.....

stress b/c if my kid is sick i would want to be with him/her( speaking of my future i have no kids)
