thats messed up, i cant stand christians for that exact reason, always determined to preach to those who dont want it or need it. christians think everyone ''needs'' to listen to it, and that god tells them to shove it down unwanted throats, ex stripper preachers is wrong and wierd, what happens to the guys when their show has to go to the nuns?

Who would have a better testimonial for a stripper than an ex-stripper? It may seem unconventional, but the Lord works in mysterious ways. A lot of these women are very far gone. Whether its drugs, alcoholism, prostitution, or just the money. Would they even listen to one word from anyone else who has not been there before? As for having to dance while they listen, I'm sure they here far worse things while they dance than the teachings of Jesus Christ. If it is working, than don't judge them. How many Christians can say that they would go to such lengths to help convert someone?

Everyone has their own calling.
The strippers have a right to be strippers. They weren't PUT in that situation. They CHOSE to put themselves there. If part of their job is to listen to the clients, they know that before they go to work. If they don't like it they can quit.
And if the clients paid, they have a right to talk about anything they want. Do you think the stuff other clients say to the strippers is LESS humiliating?
Personally, I think I'd be humiliating myself a whole lot more by reducing my way of earning a living to sellng sex via lap dancing than by listening to someone talk about an individual who never committed a sin. I have a lot more to contribute to the world than just a few pounds of flesh for drunk perverts to fondle or drool on..
(And no, I'm not ugly. My natural--no surgery-- measurements are 39-25-36, and I weigh 108)

Well, I understand it makes you uncomfortable because (I'm getting the idea) that you've had bad experiences with Christians to start with and hate the fact that some proselytize.
To be honest, I don't know much about what they do -- how they talk to people, what they say, their attitude, and the like. I think dismissing it without knowing any of that, though, is an unfair judgment.
(After all, we know Jesus talked to people in such positions... and yet he did so in a way that they felt valued and cared about. Who says that some of these people aren't the same?)
It doesn't sound much different than prostitutes having guys pay for an hour, then the guy just wants to talk to her about her life and about God.
If he paid for the hour, it's his, right? Which is more degrading -- to be physically used like a piece of meat, or to have someone else talk to you about your life and where it's going?
It does sound a little silly to talk about being humiliated by someone who shells out money to talk to a woman about God, versus having them pay to ogle the woman's naked body for their own sexual gratification.
At worst, the first can be misguided but could also be a sign of real compassion and interest in the woman as a person. The second is always using the woman as an object, which I find degrading.

I have never seen anything like that on TV before, but its possible. I think the reason why they would do that is because they feel its the easiest way to reach those people, right where they are. Remember Paul said he became everything to every man so that he could win them to Christ, to the Roman, he became a Roman. But that should not be taken lightly and must be done properly.
Even if the stripper did it willfully, it still does not make it right, she would have to be naked, which would mean causing others to lust, no matter her motives, it is a sin. I think this Christians should figure out other means of reaching out those kind of people.

They're preaching to LAP dancers? Well, that makes a lot more sense now. I thought they were preaching to TAP dancers and couldn't understand what the problem was. I mean, how much can they hear with 10-15 of them going all at once?

I would think it would be humiliating for both the dancer and the preacher. Who sent out these people to preach in this way?? Most likely Some guy dressed in white wool.

Strippers have to deal with a lot of weirdos on a regular basis. At least the ex-strippers aren't verbally abusive.

I think its a creative way to get the message out (not that I'm that religious), I guess the dancer could give the money back and stop dancing.

Well i think its an intresting way to talk to get someone to listen about Jesus. Actually they don't have to listen and they can also ignore the person if they want to and just dance.

I saw something on TV about them, and apparently, most of the strippers who they speak to are not "humiliated" at all.
Besides, why do you think that a woman would be "humiliated" by hearing about how Christ loves them -- but would NOT be humiliated about taking their clothes off in front of strange, ogling men?
