Let them enter like our great grandparents did when they came from Europe------legally.Ellis Island sent back the people that were sick, i don't mean with a bad cold. all illegals should be sent back.anyone entering this country should be screened. we have enough criminal elements in America now.the book that the Statue of Liberty holds is somewhat out dated.it's like some laws that are still on the books. Ex- you can't ride a horse into town at a full gallop. OK, i made that up, but i hope you got the idea.we wouldn't need any more detention facilities built if we deported them right back to their homeland.

They need these desperately. Right now if they catch an illegal who is not from Mexico they don't have enough facilities to hold him. They assign a court date and release him, and of course he is never heard from again. This means the taxpayer money spent in catching him to begin with is wasted, as well as underlining the fact that enforcement is a joke.
We really need more facilities. Also, they are building some specifically designed so that families can stay together, which I think is a good idea.

Get em' out ASAP. If detention facilities have to erected, fine. The USA is spending a fortune in helping these people get started. Some of them never get started. I don't CARE where they come from. They need to leave. They are all slowly suffocating our geographical locations and even the BLM is choking since it keeps selling more of OUR land so that they can keep building. What will happen when agriculture is gone? What will happen when we run out of oil? Chaos and anrachy.

We don't have enough detention facilities for our own criminals! What are you talking about? And most illegals are not scared to be deported so this will not curb their illegal activities as you put it. Do you think that our own US citizens do not need to curb their own illegal activities. Get your priorities in order geez!

I think we should build a wall along the borders and that eliminates most of the need for a detention facility. Make it harder for them to get in and there are less of them to detain.

There should be no detention. Only immediate deportation. We should have buses running 24/7 to get them on the move back to where they belong.

well, we already have too few places for those who are legally here and commit crimes. its cheaper to send em back. to incarcerate them, we have to feed them and keep them living healthy and that costs appx 60k dollars at least per person per year.
deportation is something that can occur again and again for each person but its cheaper in the long run.
all this money that would be used for more detention facilities can go to beef up the borders and patrols. building jails is like setting up a camp for them. they still do illegal activities and communicate their desires even when incarcerated.

I"m against the whole thing, white people stole this land (part of Texas) from us.
sorry need to say that.
I"m against detaining them, but if we have to, that will be good to build a new center, that's cleaner and takes better care of them until they are deported back, at least let them have a small (good) taste of America before they go back.

Yes, they need to build a few more. The new fences and security systems should decrease the amount of illegals thought so they may not need that much more space.
