It's vinegar made from white wine. Wine can turn to vinegar due to the action of bacteria. The word vinegar is in fact from french originally meaning sour wine. Most commercial vinegar is not from wine. (I think it's made from sugar water if I remember rightly.) There are a number of types of vinegar made from various thing from wine to champagne, and sherry. Or rice to coconut. The main thing in common with them all is acetic acid which is pretty much what makes vinegar vinegar.

PS- Yes acetic acid is bacteria piss;-)

All vinegar. It is distilled from white wine which imparts some small amount of flavor in the vinegar.
