(talking about concept of the christian god)
if its to complete his perfection...than s/he wasn't perfect before, and if the universe is perfect as it is now, than sin is actually something needed or make god perfect so he can't do without it, but if sin imperfects the universe and he needs a universe to be perfect than he is not perfect with the universe he created.

if he is complete and perfect being, he doesn't really need the company, and whats the point in creating something that just worships you and you get mad if they don't...that seems to suggest being less than perfect.

is it bordom? you just need something to play around with? but than that seems to suggest that you weren't so perfect and complete before since you got bored.

and god proclaiming his jealously seems to suggest being less than perfect, as what would a perfect being be jealous of...

cosaxteacher - why does a perfect being then feel a need to have to share his perfection with something he creates? and why need to go anywhere, god seems happy to not travel, so it would have worked the same for us?

Who can say? The concept of a God that can create a universe is beyond my comprehension, so it would be futile for anyone to speak of what motivates such an entity.

It is silly to argue His motives. Neither you, I, nor anyone else would be able to comprehend.

God created a universe to share perfection with the people he created. He could have created us without a universe, but where are we going to go?

God could give each of us perfection and we would not appreciate the gift. We are given free will to choose to learn and grow. We can either learn to appreciate our universe or destroy it...which is happening now?

And may I suggest this is Christian based questioning. What of all the other philosophical thoughts available to human choice?

We are actually given a seed of perfection...its called soul. It is our responsibility to allow it to nurture and survive or die in our material pursuits. Choose wisely!

Well, we're imperfect beings and we like to create stuff, so wouldn't a perfect being wanna do it even more than we do? I think liking to create things has more to do with having intelligence than with how perfect you are.

Why would a perfectly happy, infinitely dense point of energy suddenly explode into a universe with no outside intervention?

'In the beginning, man created God'. A thing some of the gullible fools on here would do well to realise.
