I just got a min pin puppy (6 weeks old) and my roommate already has a pretty stubborn and dominant 3 year old chihuahua. I live in the basement, and have been keeping the min pin with me, she's obviously my baby, and I've been slowly introducing her upstairs to the chihuahua. In the beginning of the visits theres a lot of sniffing and growling, but eventually they calm down. The problem is, I bring the min pin back downsairs, and everytime we go upstaris the dogs act like it's the first time they've met. Should I be leaving them together for days at a time? Or will they eventually remember eachother?

if you are keeping the dogs separate... they will never truly get to know each other and accept each other... the separation makes them think they are not in the same pack... and dogs are pack animals... don't leave them alone together unless you know they get along great... but you need to spend time in the same area while they are both together for greater periods of time so they may adjust to each other and establish a dog-dog relationship..

The Moving Excuse. Because everyone knows its simply too rough to take your pets with you and its less difficult to offload them and make up excuses. Dogs do not explode while you go state traces. Just discover a solution to take the puppy and quit making up excuses You can NOT undertake the puppy out. Its a harsh truth child. Either take the puppy with you or give up it so it may be humanly positioned down considering that you cannot undertake the puppy out to any person. Not with its aggression problems. The puppy will chunk a few one and you'll be sued advert the puppy destroyed any means You actually have most effective 2 offerings, its a harsh truth you must observe. Either give up the puppy or take it with you

They will settle down eventually. The chi is just showing the min pin who is boss....they may even do it everytime but as long as they aren't hurting each other it's not a problem

the reason is chihuahuas are sort of antisocial. my aunt had a chihuahua and it still isnt used to me after months! min pins if they are pups usually are playful maybe a little to playful for the adult dog?

YOU SHOULD TRY KEEPING THEM TOGETHER FOR A DAY AND SEE HOW THEY DO. IT SOUND LIKE THE CHI IS JUST TRYING TO SHOW HIM THAT HE IS THE TOP DOG AND THE MIN PIN IS JUST TRYIN G TO FIND HIS PLACE. ONCE THIS IS FIGURED OUT BETWEEN THEM , THEN EVERYTHING WILL BE PEACEFULL
