For instance, suicide bombings for jihad? Even if you maintain that is not a "true" religious teaching, you must admit that it is presented that way to impressionable children and it works. Many examples exist in western religion, what are some?

Greatwhite, I will not tease you when you wake up and understand that you are wrong. But you think I deserve eternal torture if I am wrong. I am better than your God.

i think kids should be kids and that's about all. religious conversions take place from the later teens to adulthood. i don't think they should be indoctrinated when they are young. that'll just brainwash and cripple them for life. it's on them, not you.

I think that children shouldn't be exposed to any kind of religious teachings. Let them grow up first, and then, if on their own free will they decide to practice any religion, then they'll be sufficiently mature to choose which one fulfills their needs and expectations [by the way, I think that none will meet these criteria]. This way, I bet we'd have a much lower incidence of crime, violence, discrimination, drug and/or alcohol abuse, and mental disturbances than we do now.

I think children should be educated in all religious groups and there inherent beliefs. I also believe children should be shown the views of Agnosticism & Atheism. Having adequate education will give them the tools they need to find their own path to spirituality as I believe one should not be pre-ordained by parents.

Religions that teach kids to dislike homosexuals, that is wrong. It is just teaching them hate.
