No, you could always ask the minister to hold your bouquet instead, or better yet, dress half the groomsman in dresses so they at least have someone to escort down the aisle and dance with at the reception.

You don't have to have anything you don't want to have. It's your day. Have 3 maid of honors, or none.
Have a man as your "maid of honor" if you want.
Do what you and your fiance want.
There will always be someone who wants you to do something else, and there will always be people to tell you what to do.
It's your day, so do it up with no regrets! Congratulations and good luck. Just remember to have fun, the day goes by quickly!

If you have 3 or 4 really close female friends and you don't want to offend some of them while you single out one of them as the maid of honor, then they could all be bridesmaids together......or maids of honor together ...............everyone equal.
If you don't have any close female friends or relatives and you want to skip it, I agree with the others. It is your wedding.

Not really, but you do have to have witnesses who will sign your marriage licence. We just had a maid of honor and best man, no one else. But pretty much anyone can be your witnesses.

well, you don't really have to have a maid of honour, but if it's someone like your very best friend or favorite sister, i suppose you could. you don't have to have brides maids either, but i think it's a bit more traditional.

The law requires two witnesses to sign the license. The rest is window dressing. Think carefully what you would like to do.
