Yes. People should remember that during this day, the Allied troops of US, Britain and Canada fought the Germans in the Normandy Beach. The victory against Hitler and the fascists is near.

I've been to a lot of places in the world to include the pyramids. But the BEST place I have ever been...the most BEAUTIFUL place I have ever been...the absolutely most sacred spot I have ever stood is on the beaches of Omaha, Utah, in St. Mere Eglise and on Pegasus Bridge. Thank God for all allied troops that took part in that invasion.

It was in 1944, a lot of soldiers from the Big Red One and Fighting 29th didn't make it off of Omaha....those boys help to give us the freedoms we enjoy today.
