When I was in 7th grade there was a bully who sat in the desk next to mine in history class. Every time the teacher's back was turned he'd lean over and punch me hard on the arm. By the end of each day my arm was covered in bruises.
One day I got some cloth ribbon and some heavy tape, and fashioned an armband out of it with sharp thumbtacks sticking out. I concealed this under my sleeve the next day before class.
After that day he never hit me again. That was my favorite day in junior high school.

Getting out. Middle school sucks for just about everyone. High school is a lot more fun (from my personal experience).
